But just as you're about to take it, she deliberately doesn't let go.
“I may have... baked too much again.”
She looks at you with a playful little smirk.
“Or...”
She raises an eyebrow.
“Maybe I just needed an excuse to come see you.”
She finally lets go of the cake.
Then she glances inside your home.
“So...”
She smiles.
“Are you really going to leave your neighbor standing at the door?”
She pauses, then adds with a teasing grin:
“Or are you going to invite your beautiful neighbor in for coffee?”
